Guest Policies
Rates, All published rates, fees and policies are subject to change without notice. Rates published are subject to an 11% tax, a $59 reservation fee, and applicable cleaning fees.
Reservations. Reservations can be made up to one (1) year in advance of check-in date. Reservations can be made by calling (888) 666-3061 with a credit card for deposit.
Reservation Deposits and Rental Payments. An advance rent deposit of fifty (50) percent of the total rental rate (inclusive of reservation fee) is required to secure the reservation. The remaining balance of rental payment is due 30 days prior to your check-in. Reservations made less than 30 days prior to check-in date will required the entire amount due to be payable at the time the reservation is made to secure the reservation.
Damage Waiver Insurance. A non-refundable damage waiver fee will be applied to your reservation. The damage waiver fee is $39 and covers any unintentional damage up to $3000. Please note the damage waiver does not cover negligence or willful neglect and we will pursue damages to the full extent of the law if this applies.
Cancellation. Occasionally, plans change due to unforeseen medical or weather related issues. We cannot predict these issues and we strongly encourage the purchase of CSA Travel Protection Insurance to protect your vacation. As a matter of policy, we do not offer refunds for any reason. However; if you notify us of your change of plans, we will try to re-book the reservation date and if we re-book for the dates of your rental period you will receive a refund of the advance rent deposit minus a $75 cancellation fee.
Payment. We accept cash, personal check, money order, cashiers check, or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover) for payment. We will charge an NSF Fee of $75 for all returned checks.
Travel Protection Insurance. We strongly encourage the purchase of CSA Travel Protection Insurance to safeguard your vacation. A fee of 6.5% of the rental rate plus reservation fee and taxes will be added.
Hurricane Policy. In the event of a hurricane or tropical storm, no refunds will be made. Refunds will only be issued by CSA Travel Protection Insurance.
Check-In. Guests are allowed to check-in after 4:00 PM CST. In some instances, access to your reserved property may be unavoidably delayed due to cleaning or maintenance issues. Sunfire Resorts ensures that we will not allow a guest to enter a property until the property is cleaned to our standards. We apprecate your patience in these situations.
Check-Out. Guests are asked to vacate the property at 10:00 AM CST. You will be responsible for leaving the property in good condition at check-out. Please place all trash and debris in the appropriate garbage containers. Please place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher as you exit.
Linen/Housekeeping Service. You vacation property will be cleaned to our high-standards and stocked with appropriate linens and towels for your stay. You will be responsible for cleaning during your stay and leaving the property in good condition upon leaving. We would appreciate it if you would be aware that you are staying in a private home and treat it as your own. We provide you with a starter supply of trash liners, toilet paper, bath soap, and dishwasher soap. Bed and Bath linens are provided, but are not to leave the property. Please plan on bringing your own beach towels for use at the pool and beach.
Family Vacations Only. All rental properties are to be occupied by at least one adult, over the age of 25. Reservations made under false pretenses will result in immediate cancellation and eviction with no refund. Parents must occupy the property during the entire scheduled stay.
Property Assignments. In rare circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change your reservation to an equivalent or better property.
Maintenance. During the course of your stay, please notify us immediately if you find a maintenance issue. Please do not leave doors and windows open while operating the air conditioning or heating units. Sunfire Resorts reserves the right for maintenance staff to enter the property during the course of your stay to repair or replace maintenance/housekeeping issues.
Pets. Unless specifically stated, pets are strictly prohibited. If a pet is found to have stayed during the course of your stay you will be charged for professional flea control, a deep clean and one additional days rent, which usually combined is over $750. If found during the course of your stay, you must find a place to board the pet or be evicted.
Smoking. Smoking is strictly prohibited on all properties. If evidence of smoking is found on the property, a charge of $500 will be applied for necessary deodorizing and additional deep cleaning.
Property Furnishings and Utilities. All properties are owned by private owners and furnished uniquely. At minimum, all properties have full equipped kitchens, televisions, telephones and central heat/air. Please do not re-arrange furniture or remove any appliances from the property. Most homes have an owners closet which is to be locked at all times. While we will make every effort to restore any temporary utility outages, no damage compensation is not available for temporary outages from local electric, gas, water, phone, cable, and satellite services.
Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs. In-ground pools may cause inherent risks to guests and children. As the guest, you accept all risk associated with a swimming pool or hot tub and specifically agree that no children will have access to the pool area without adult supervision. Guests assume control and full responsibility for the use of a pool during the course of your stay. Disarming of pool alarms is against the law.
Good Neighbor Policy. Be a good neighbor, and remember that all properties are owned by a private owner and should be treated with the same respect that you would treat your own home. Please abide by all noise ordinances, parking instructions, and all local HOA regulations.
